The following pictures remind me of the play Julius Caesar because of the fact that in the play, there was a part where Brutus and Anthony were giving their speeches. This reminds me of where they were giving their speech. As I was driving by to downtown, I realized that this had the ability to complete the job of this assignment. What gave me the idea to take this photo was seeing the columns. They reminded me of how the buildings were also in Rome. I concluded that it was possibly a type of architecture that was used then. Brutus and Anthony relate to this picture because they had said their words at a place like this in a way. This picture shows how in the scene Brutus was speaking his words. It also conveys the image of the part of where they spoke freely of their thoughts.
I didn't know this was in downtown. Where at? Is it near UCR? This was very clever of you to have these pictures, because it immediately reminded me of the play. Well done.
ReplyDeleteNice picture! It reminds me of the place where Brutus and Cassius gave their speeches too. Your picture has a very artistic angle by the way.
ReplyDeleteNice picture! Right when I saw it I knew it was going to be about the speeches. I also like how you used the type of architecture to back up your point.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone else on what a nice picture it is. It also reminded me about the speeches that Brutus and Anthony gave. Great job!
ReplyDeleteVery good idea in using architecture to prove the connection to the play. It automatically reminded me of the stairs on which they spoke to the citizens! Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I agree with Matt that you took this photo at a very nice angle! I can see how you related it to the scene of the speeches.
ReplyDeleteNice job! I agree with Julie, it was a very good idea to use architecture to make a connection. As soon as I saw it, I thought of Rome.
ReplyDeletei love how everyone is agreeing with each other :) Nice thinking of the architeture of the play :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Julie on this one. It also reminded me of the speeches. Good Job! (:
ReplyDeleteLove the dramatic angle of the picture. Very Rome-like looking and I can just imagine the good looking Antony walking down the steps with a not so good looking dead Caesar in his arms. XD
ReplyDeletei agree with you and think that we would see this in Rome, were a lot of buildings with columns good connection and observation!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you were able to relate the play to the actual place! Great job!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Carrie! I like how you didn't use a specific prop or item, but an actual setting. This plays an important role in Julius Caesar aside from the items that were used. Good job with finding a relation to something from today and from back in Rome!
ReplyDeletenice how you used a setting and it was also taken at a nice angle. the architecture was very significant to the play in the fact that it made it look pretty.
ReplyDeleteThis setting made me think of the play immediately. Great job on connecting it to the play so we all can point it out easily!
